Rockstar's suite of GTA 5 cheats offer up a selection of ways to bend the crime sandbox. If you're looking for an easier way through the campaign, you've can give yourself everything from weapons to full invincibility from harm. And if you're just looking to cause some carnage, how about some exploding bullets or even just spawning a military helicopter at your feet? Don't worry about the cops—you can tell them to leave you alone too.

Whatever your fancy, if GTA 5 has a cheat for it, we've got it—along with multiple ways for you to enable it. The PC codes remain the easiest way to get your cheat on, but we've also listed the input codes for Xbox and PlayStation pads, and the phone numbers you can dial through the in-game cell phone.

How do I enable GTA 5 cheats?

It's super easy to use GTA 5 cheats. You'll just need to remember the code word. If you don't fancy keeping a notepad to hand, just bookmark this page and return whenever you need to remember how to swim faster.

To bring up GTA 5's console, hit the tilde key (~), or whatever key is directly to the left of the 1 at the top of your keyboard. Type in any of the cheat codes below in all caps just as written. Hit enter and you've now become an official GTA 5 cheater. Spawn yourself a motorcycle and flaming ammo rounds if you like! We won't judge.

Can I earn achievements while using GTA 5 cheats?

No. Once you've enabled a GTA 5 cheat, the following conditions will apply:

Achievements will be disabled
You won't be able to earn higher than Bronze rating for missions

To be safe, you're advised to manually save before messing around with any GTA 5 cheats active, and to reload once you're done.

Raise Wanted Level

Effect: Increase your wanted level by one star.

Lower Wanted Level

Effect: Reduce your wanted level by one star

Invincibility

Effect: Make yourself invulnerable to damage for five minutes.

Heal Yourself

Effect: Get maximum health and armour.

Run Faster

Effect: Yup, it makes you run faster.

Swim Faster

Effect: Lets you swim at sprinting speed.

All Weapons

Effect: Get one of each weapon type, plus ammo.

Get Parachute

Effect: Equips a parachute.

Recharge Specials

Effect: Recharge your yellow special ability meter.

Slow Aim

Effect: Lets you aim in slow motion. The effect is heightened each time you enter the code up to three times, and is disabled on the fourth time.

Super Jump

Effect: Leap high in the air.

Moon Gravity

Effect: Lowers gravity for you and any car you're driving.

Slippery Tires

Effect: No friction when you're driving.

Explosive Melee

Effect: Your punches and kicks are literally explosive.

Explosive Ammo

Effect: All guns now shoot explosive bullets.

Flaming Ammo

Effect: Bullets will cause enemies to catch fire.

Drunk Mode

Effect: Stumble around town.

Sky Spawn

Effect: Teleport high in the air, and then fall back down.

Slow Motion

Effect: Slow time. The effect is heightened each time you enter the code up to three times, and is disabled on the fourth time.

Change Weather

Effect: Cycles through different weather states each time you enter the code.
